Q. Is Eritrea a poor country?
A. Yes it is one of the poorest countries in the world
Q. Does your Country have much war?
A. At the moment there is no war but there is a threat of war.
Q. What is the traditional food and drink in Africa?
A. Africa is a huge continent. So every ethnic group has its own traditional food and drink. The food of my ethnic group is porridge and we have a special drink called Selikh.
Q. How warm is it?
A. In Eritrea the low lands are very warm, from 27 to 40 grades C. The high lands, instead, from 16 to 20 grades C.
Q. Is your school big?
A. Not so big as yours.
Q. Is it hard to get a job in your country?
A. Yes it is.
Q. How many Comboni Missionaries are there in Eritrea?
A. We are about 30 Eritrean Comboni Missionaries. Half of us are Missionaries in other countries.
Q. Are your countries in the Olympiads?
A. Yes, two Eritrean men won silver medals in Athens 2004.
Q. Do you play the same sports as in Scotland?
A. Yes, but perhaps not all.
Q. What are the schools like in your country?
A. Less facilities, lack of teachers etc..

A. Not so many.
Q. How many teams do you have and which one do you support?
A. We have many teams but I support the “Red Sea”.
Q. Who is your favourite player?
A. I like them all.
Q. What other religions are there apart from Christian and Muslim?
A. Few of them practice African traditional religion.
